Job summary

The Carrera Agency, Inc. is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide high-quality IT help desk support to end users across the organization. The role focuses on desktops, laptops, peripherals, and meeting technologies, with a strong emphasis on superior customer service.

This 6-month W2 consulting position is on-site in the San Diego UTC area, with hours 8 am to 6 pm PT, and compensation of $25-31 per hour. VIPs and executives are supported, and collaboration with IT teams is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years in a customer service-oriented technical support role in a corporate setting.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Proficient with Windows OS, M365 apps and desktop hardware.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals including VPNs and remote access.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end users on core systems including hardware, software and peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
• Maintain and meet SLAs, quality targets and customer satisfaction objectives.
• Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Document support activities and resolutions in ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on evolving business needs.
