Job summary

Zeektek is seeking a senior desktop support technician to be the go-to hands-on IT resource for local and remote users in Austin. You will troubleshoot Windows and macOS laptops, iPhone and Android devices, and own IT asset management, plus support network, phones, conferencing, and data center equipment.

You’ll deploy systems, maintain security, write troubleshooting guides, and drive technical projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Full proficiency with Windows and macOS.
• Experience supporting iPhone and Android devices in a business environment.
• Strong PC hardware knowledge and methodical troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 apps including Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Highly organized and able to drive projects start to finish with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop and mobile support for local and remote users across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
• Deploy new systems and roll out hardware and software to individual users and groups.
• Maintain password management, data integrity, and file system security across the desktop environment.
• Own hardware and software inventory, IT asset management, and shipping and receiving of equipment for remote staff.
• Help maintain network equipment, desk phones, and teleconference and meeting room equipment.
• Support computer room and data center operations.
• Write clear how-to guides and document troubleshooting steps and solutions for other staff to follow.
