Pomeroy is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT support in Austin, TX, including coverage of an IT Walk-In Center. The role requires handling hardware, software, Windows, macOS, Office 365, mobile devices, printers, and room tech.

The ideal candidate has 2-3+ years in desktop or onsite IT support and strong communication to interact directly with end users on-site.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years in Desktop Support or onsite IT support.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows and Apple operating systems.
• Experience with ServiceNow or another enterprise IT ticketing system.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to work onsite and interact directly with end users.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop support and IT Walk-In Center support for end users.
• Manage and resolve IT incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems.
• Provide how-to assistance for end-user devices, applications, and software.
• Support desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other IT hardware.
• Perform basic hardware repairs and upgrades, including RAM and SSD/HDD replacements.
• Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Perform software installations and deployments.
• Provide Smart Hands support for printers, scanners, servers, and storage equipment.
• Support printer and scanner issues, including toner replacement and basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Support smartphones and portable devices, including SIM handling and provisioning.
• Provide meeting room support for audio/video equipment and conference room technology.
• Perform basic network support including Wi-Fi troubleshooting and equipment replacement.
• Maintain IT asset records and site operation manuals.
• Assist with inventory and stock management.
