Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Sr-level Desktop Support Technician to support a government site in Portsmouth, VA. You will provide direct desk-side IT support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist senior staff while adhering to SLAs and security requirements.
The role requires US citizenship and a DoD Secret Clearance, with 5+ years of relevant experience and a Security+ or higher certification. Expect on-site work at a government facility with lifting, travel, and floor-space navigation
Qualifications
- US Citizen
- DoD Secret Clearance
- HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience or related education/certifications
- Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II: Security+ or higher
- Experience with Windows 10
- Experience with ticket management software (HP Service Manager, Remedy)
- Basic network troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve user computer issues (hardware and software)
- Assist junior technicians with complex issues
- Manage ticket resolutions according to SLRs
- Ensure requirements are identified and completed within timelines
- Assist teams in troubleshooting printers/MFDs, VoIP, and VTC issues
- Work with VIP/executive customers to provide premier IT support
