Virginia Tax is seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical support for employee workstations, laptops, software, and peripherals in Richmond, VA. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, laptop refreshes, system maintenance, and delivering strong customer service.

The position requires at least four years in hardware/software support, familiarity with Windows 11+, and experience with SCCM/SMS and remote tools.

Qualifications

At least 4 years of experience with computer hardware, software, drivers, BIOS and related systems.
At least 4 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues and applying analytical and problem-solving skills.
At least 4 years of experience in customer communication, technical support, or related service activities.
At least 4 years of experience gathering customer feedback or identifying service improvements.
Working knowledge of Windows 11+, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Microsoft 365.

Responsabilités

Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, peripheral and network issues.
Support Windows 11+ and Microsoft 365 applications.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and software.
Assist with laptop refresh activities.
Use remote support tools (SCCM/SMS, Remote Desktop, Dameware) to resolve issues.
Run reports and analyze recurring problems to identify improvements.
Gather customer feedback and recommend service improvements.
Communicate clearly with users and colleagues; collaborate with the support team.
Adapt to new technologies, tools, and procedures.
