Job summary

Southland Industries, a leading MEP contractor, seeks a Senior Design Project Manager to lead complex design-build and design-assist projects. You will shepherd projects from concept through construction, coordinating with Owners, Engineers, and Architects while safeguarding profitability and client relationships.

You will manage risk, budgets, schedules, and procurement, mentor teams, and drive QA/QC and document control.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Science, or equivalent.
9+ years of progressive engineering or construction management experience.
PE licensure preferred.
Proficient project management and ability to plan construction from beginning to end.
Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
Proficiency with Autodesk and Revit.

Responsibilities

Lead design-build and design-assist projects with cross-functional teams.
Develop client relationships and coordinate with engineers and architects.
Communicate and manage project goals and schedules across departments; identify and manage risk.
Oversee financials: costs, billings and collections to maintain profitability.
Lead development of QA/QC processes and document control.
Lead on-site field surveys and early procurement of subcontractors and equipment.
Mentor design PMs and engineers to ensure compliance.
