Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior bridge engineer to lead long-span and complex bridge projects across the Americas. You will perform advanced planning, analysis, and design while guiding multi‑discipline teams and client interfaces.

The role involves signing contract documents, supporting bid efforts, and mentoring staff while upholding project quality, schedule, and budget. Ideal candidates bring a PE license and 15+ years in structural engineering.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in structural engineering or a related discipline.
• PE License with ability to obtain license in multiple states; SE license desirable.
• Minimum of fifteen years of professional experience including Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer.
• Experience in long-span and complex bridges and design-build delivery.
• Proven leadership on multi-discipline design teams and client interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical work on national bridge projects, performing planning, analysis and design.
• Sign and seal contract documents, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Direct staff across offices to meet schedule and budget milestones.
• Mentor engineers, guide best practices, and contribute to business development.
• Represent Jacobs at client meetings and industry presentations.
