Job summary

Jacobs is expanding its national bridge practice and seeks a senior technical leader for long-span and complex bridges. You will guide design teams, perform advanced analysis and design, and support construction across the Americas, with potential Design Manager responsibilities on selected projects.

Your background includes a Master’s in structural engineering, a PE license (SE desirable), and 15+ years in bridge design and delivery, including design-build familiarity, with a strong

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in structural engineering or a related discipline.
• PE license with ability to obtain license in multiple states; SE license desirable.
• Minimum of fifteen years of professional experience including Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer in final design, construction documents and construction support.

Responsibilities

• Represent Jacobs’s technical capabilities within your area(s) of technical specialization across assigned locations, markets, and events.
• Lead staff on long-span and complex bridge projects; sign and seal contract documents as appropriate.
• Plan and coordinate multi-office staffing; direct Project Engineers, Engineers and Technicians to meet schedules and budgets.
• Manage client interfaces, ensure quality, and uphold Jacobs’s reputation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and upskilling of staff engineers.
• Represent Jacobs at client meetings, presentations, and hearings as needed.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, estimating costs, and contract negotiations on major projects.
