Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior bridge engineer to lead multi-disciplinary teams on long-span and complex bridges across the Americas. You will act as Technical Lead, sign and seal documents where appropriate, and supervise design through construction.

Join a national bridge practice that values client engagement, thought leadership, and delivering safety‑critical infrastructure on time and within budget. A PE license and extensive project leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in structural engineering or related discipline.
• PE License with ability to obtain license in multiple states; SE License desirable.
• Fifteen years of professional experience including Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer in final design and construction support.
• Experience with long-span and complex bridges including cable-stayed, arch, segmental types.

Responsibilities

• Represent Jacobs’ technical capabilities in assigned locations and markets.
• Serve as Technical/Task Lead on long-span and complex bridge projects, sign and seal documents as appropriate.
• Plan and coordinate staff, directing multi-office collaboration.
• Manage project engineers, engineers and technicians to meet schedules and budgets.
• Ensure quality and client interfaces, mentor staff, and promote best practices.
• Contribute to business development, client presentations, and cost estimating on major pursuits.
• Engage in thought leadership and presentations at bridge conferences.
