Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a Solutions Engineer to partner with Account Executives in delivering technical designs and value-driven outcomes. You will surface business needs, craft designs, and enable customers with hands-on guidance to mature their Confluent deployments.

You will collaborate across Product and Engineering, deliver technical talks, and drive adoption of new patterns with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Solutions Engineering or similar work experience.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, data integration & processing techniques, and data warehouse tech.
• Cloud architecture, migrations, deployment, and application development experience.
• Experience with automation, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL; technical certifications in Cloud/Data domains are a plus.
• Strong self-starter with a desire to learn and tackle hard technical problems.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; comfortable with senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Help advance new and innovative data streaming use-cases from concept to go-live.
• Lead technical proofs of concept and customer discovery sessions.
• Give technical talks and workshops to share thought leadership.
• Guide customers with hands-on help and best practices to mature deployments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering; advocate for customers across ecosystems.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as a reliable partner.
