Job summary

IBM Global Sales seeks a Senior Solution Engineer to drive data streaming initiatives, lead proofs of concepts, and collaborate with customers to achieve digital transformation. You will conduct hands-on sessions, deliver technical talks, and work with teams across product and engineering to optimize Confluent deployments.

The role requires strong presentation skills, cloud experience, and the ability to influence executives while solving complex problems.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years in Sales/Pre‑Sales/Solutions Engineering or equivalent customer-facing role.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, data integration and processing, database or data warehouse techs.
• Exposure to cloud architecture, migrations, deployment, and application development.

Responsibilities

• Advance new data streaming use-cases from conception to go-live.
• Lead technical proofs of concepts.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to develop new use-cases.
• Provide thought leadership via technical talks and workshops.
• Guide customers with hands-on help to drive operational maturity of Confluent deployment.
• Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with product/engineering as a product advocate across stakeholders.
• Forge relationships with customer stakeholders and act as a dependable partner.
