Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineer to partner with Account Executives, surface business needs, and craft technical designs that meet customer goals in data streaming and integration. You will lead discovery, run PoCs, provide hands-on support, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to drive adoption and operational maturity across customer environments.

Strong communication skills and a track record of translating complex tech to executive stakeholders are essential

Qualifications

Extensive experience in Solutions Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with event-driven data architectures and data processing.
Hands-on cloud architecture, migrations and deployment.
Automation and Kubernetes familiarity.
Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
Technical cloud certifications preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication in technical contexts.
Ability to present to diverse technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Advance data streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live and lead technical proofs of concept.
Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to develop new use-cases and designs.
Provide hands-on guidance to drive deployment maturity and best practices.
Analyze consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities with product/engineering teams.
Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and act as a trusted technical advisor.
