Job summary

IBM Global Sales seeks a Staff Solutions Engineer to partner with account teams, customers, and partners to design and enable data streaming solutions using Confluent technologies. You will surface business needs, craft technical designs, and help customers progress along the adoption maturity curve through hands-on guidance and collaboration with product teams.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in Solutions Engineering or similar role.
Experience with event-driven architectures, data integration/processing.
Familiarity with cloud architecture, migrations, deployment and app dev.
Experience with automation, GitOps and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
Certifications in Cloud development/architecture and data engineering/integration.
Strong self-starter with eagerness to learn and solve hard problems.
Excellent presentation and communication skills across technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Advance new data streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live.
Lead technical proofs of concept with customers.
Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions for new use-cases.
Provide thought leadership via technical talks and workshops.
Guide customers with hands-on help to drive deployment maturity.
Analyze customer trends and collaborate with product/engineering as product advocate.
Foster strong relationships with customer stakeholders and partners.
