Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support Slack's Go-to-Market (GTM) organization. You will partner with Sales Strategy, Sales Programs, Product, Finance, and Data teams to uncover opportunities that accelerate growth, improve customer outcomes, and shape GTM strategy through data.

You will work on high-impact questions, applying advanced analytics, experimentation, and statistical methods to understand customer behavior, evaluate strategic initiatives, and optimize GTM

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry experience applying data science, statistics, or quantitative analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language for data science (Python, R, or Scala). Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow is desirable.
• Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, causal inference, predictive modeling, and analytical problem solving.
• Experience with large-scale data technologies (Spark, Presto, Hive, Hadoop) and distributed data platforms.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to executives and cross-functional teams.
• Experience partnering with Product, Sales, Finance, or other GTM groups to influence decisions.
• A related technical degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with GTM leadership to identify strategic opportunities and influence key decisions.
• Apply statistics, experimentation, and analytics to understand customer behavior and drive growth.
• Develop predictive models, segmentation, and forecasting for GTM planning.
• Design measurement strategies and success metrics for programs and products.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover revenue opportunities and operational improvements.
• Build scalable analytical frameworks and trusted data foundations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to develop datasets and enable advanced modeling.
• Work with Product and Sales Strategy to translate analytics into actionable recommendations.
• Translate analyses into executive-ready narratives and dashboards.
• Champion evidence-based decision making across the GTM organization.
