Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for the Data & Performance Enablement team in the United States. You will design and implement platforms that manage distributed event streaming, overseeing database, messaging, and data warehouse components to support high-performance data-intensive applications.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with customer teams, and contribute to the technical roadmap while focusing on reliability, security, and scalable data models.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Kafka/Redis messaging platforms.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Solid experience with major cloud providers (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data platform components for provisioning, backups, and user management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance/reliability issues in data systems, acting as escalation point.
• Identify opportunities to improve data streaming services, security, scalability, and automation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical services.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration, query optimization, and DBRE principles.
• Contribute to technical roadmap by researching new data technologies and proposing solutions.
