Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer on our Data & Performance Enablement team to design, implement, and maintain the platforms that manage distributed event streaming technologies. You will own features for database, messaging, and data warehouse platforms to enable high-performance data workloads.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with customer teams, and contribute to the technical roadmap for your area while shaping scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience.
• Strong experience with Kafka/Redis messaging platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash or Python).
• Solid experience with major cloud providers (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data platform components.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability of data systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve streaming services, security, scalability.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Mentor junior engineers on DBRE principles.
• Contribute to technical roadmap by researching data technologies.
