Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and implement the data platforms that manage distributed event streaming technologies. You will own features for database, messaging, and data warehouse platforms, mentoring engineers and shaping the technical roadmap.

You will work on provisioning automation, backups, and user management, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience.
• Strong experience with messaging platforms (Kafka/Redis).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain key components of our data platform automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues in data systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve data streaming services, security, scalability, and automation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical services.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration, query optimization, and DBRE principles.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies.
