Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer on the Data & Performance Enablement team to design and implement platforms for distributed event streaming, databases, messaging, and data warehouses.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with customer teams, and contribute to the technical roadmap while delivering high-performance, data-intensive solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable experience in platform/data engineering.
• Strong experience with Kafka/Redis messaging systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain key components of the data platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve streaming services, security, and automation.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical services.
• Mentor junior engineers on DBRE principles and data platforms.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap with new data technologies.
