Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer on our Data & Performance Enablement team. You will design and implement platforms for distributed event streaming technologies, own key features for database, messaging, and data warehouse platforms, and mentor engineers to advance DBRE practices.

You will work on provisioning automation, troubleshooting complex performance issues, and contributing to the technical roadmap while collaborating with customer teams and ensuring security

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience in platform engineering.
• Strong experience with distributed messaging platforms (Kafka/Redis).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architectures.
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash or Python).
• Solid experience with major cloud providers (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data platform components for provisioning, backups, and user management.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues in data systems, including on-call rotations.
• Improve data streaming services, security, scalability, and automation.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration and DBRE practices.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies.
