Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for the Data & Performance Enablement team. You will design and implement platforms managing distributed event streaming, databases, messaging, and data warehouses, while owning key features and mentoring other engineers.

You will also troubleshoot complex performance issues, contribute to the technology roadmap, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable engineering experience.
• Experience with distributed streaming systems (Kafka/Redis).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.
• Proficient in Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data platform components
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues in data systems
• Identify opportunities to improve data streaming, security, and automation
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical services
• Mentor junior engineers on DBRE principles and performance
• Contribute to the technical roadmap with new data technologies
