Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer on the Data & Performance Enablement team to design and implement platforms for distributed event streaming technologies. You will own features for database, messaging, and data warehouse platforms, mentoring engineers and shaping the technical roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience.
• Experience with messaging platforms (Kafka/Redis).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python).
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core components of the data platform.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues in data systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve data streaming, security, and automation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical services.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration and DBRE principles.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies.
