Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Senior Platform Engineer on the Data & Performance Enablement team. You will help design and implement platforms that manage distributed event streaming technologies, owning features for database, messaging, and data warehouse platforms. You will mentor engineers and contribute to the technical roadmap.

You will design components for provisioning, backups, and user management, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive automation and scalability across data services.

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience in platform engineering or similar.
• Proficiency with Kafka/Redis messaging and data platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Hands-on with major cloud providers and managed services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain components of the data platform.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues and act as escalation point.
• Improve data streaming services, security, and automation.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap through research and proposals.
