Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for its Data & Performance Enablement team. You will design and implement platforms for distributed event streaming technologies, own features for database, messaging, and data warehouse platforms, and mentor engineers while shaping the tech roadmap.

You will collaborate with customer teams, drive automation, and contribute to secure, scalable data systems that power health services across communities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain key components of the data platform automation for provisioning, backups, and user management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and reliability issues in data systems; serve as escalation point.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data streaming services, security, scalability, and automation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical services.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration, query optimization, and DBRE principles.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies and proposing innovative solutions.
