Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Data & Performance Enablement team. You will design and implement platforms that manage distributed event streaming, databases, messaging, and data warehouses to enable high-performance data-intensive applications.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to roadmaps, and collaborate with customer teams while owning automation for provisioning, backups, and user management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data platforms and engineering.
• Experience with distributed streaming systems (Kafka) and messaging.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code and at least one scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain key components of our data platform automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and reliability issues in data systems.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration, query optimization, and DBRE principles.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies.
