CVS Health is building a world of health around every individual. We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer on our Data & Performance Enablement team to design and implement platforms that manage distributed event streaming technologies and data workflows.

You will own features for our data, messaging, and data warehouse platforms, mentor engineers, and contribute to the technical roadmap while collaborating with customer teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience.
• Experience with Kafka/Redis messaging platforms.
• IaC experience.
• Scripting in Bash or Python.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain key components of our data platform automation for provisioning, backups, and user management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and reliability issues in our data systems.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data streaming services, security, scalability, and automation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support the team's critical services.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration, query optimization, and DBRE principles.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies and proposing innovative solutions.
