CVS Health is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer on the Data & Performance Enablement team to design and implement platforms that manage distributed event streaming, databases, messaging, and data warehouses.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with customer teams, and contribute to the technical roadmap to deliver high-performance, data-intensive applications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience.
• Strong experience with messaging platforms (Kafka/Redis).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python).
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain key components of our data platform automation for provisioning, backups, and user management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and reliability issues in our data systems.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data streaming services, security, scalability, and automation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support the team's critical services.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration, query optimization, and DBRE principles.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies.
