Fivetran seeks a talented professional to join our dbt community team—a group of passionate builders empowering data practitioners worldwide.

You will lead digital engagement with a focus on growing the dbt Slack community, cultivating a welcoming, high-signal space for data practitioners to connect, learn, and collaborate—partnering with internal teams and community leaders to strengthen member experience and surface insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in digital community management in a global environment.
• Experience owning day-to-day operations for a large online community (Slack/Discord/forum).
• Strong understanding of online community dynamics and building trust at scale.
• Experience building moderation/workflows including Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Excellent written communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience using community tooling and analytics (Slack, Common Room) to track engagement.
• Data-informed decision making with KPIs for engagement and health.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community.
• Collaborate with leaders to evolve channel strategy and engagement programs.
• Develop scalable moderation and support workflows with Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Coach moderators and onboard new moderators as the community grows.
• Create content systems to inform and activate members.
• Surface community insights to Product, Marketing and Support.
• Monitor engagement metrics and run experiments to improve them.
• Manage the community tool stack and document best practices.
• Plan incident response with Legal/People/Security as needed.
• Support cross-channel engagement across forums, social, and events.
