Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a dedicated team member to lead the dbt community management, focusing on the Slack workspace. You will nurture a welcoming space for data practitioners to learn, connect, and collaborate—partnering with internal teams to improve member experience and participation.

The role emphasizes moderation, content systems, and cross-functional collaboration across Product, Marketing, Support, and Developer Experience to surface insights and drive engagement on a global scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital community management
• Experience owning day-to-day operations for large online communities
• Ability to define and track KPIs for engagement and health

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community
• Partner with leaders to evolve channel strategy and guidelines
• Develop scalable moderation and support workflows including Code of Conduct
• Coach moderators and onboard new moderators as the community grows
• Create content systems to keep members informed and activated
• Surface insights to Product, Marketing, and Support
• Monitor engagement metrics and run experiments to improve them
• Manage the community tool stack and document best practices
• Plan incident response with Legal/People/Security
• Support cross-channel engagement to create a cohesive member journey
