Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Technician to operate 24/7 on-site in a fast-paced environment. You will monitor, maintain and upgrade server hardware, wiring and network connectivity, while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring compliance with SOPs and MOPs. The role requires travel readiness and flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

You will collaborate across teams to diagnose issues, manage tickets, and apply disciplined change control in line with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware systems and components.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Be a good team player.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Shift schedule that rotates, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb a 9 ft ladder.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands and IT hardware concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with ticketing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Datacenter Services Operations-Break/Fix and Hardware Maintenance: identify opportunities and guide replacement hardware practices.
• Datacenter Services Operations-Network Configuration, Installation, and Augmentation: validate cabling and network connectivity.
• Technical Support and Trouble Shooting: monitor tickets and mentor peers within SLAs.
• Safety and Compliance: adhere to SOPs/MOPs and site security requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: train on repair techniques and escalate repeating issues.
• Collaboration, Vendor Relations, and Leadership: coordinate with teams and vendors to meet SLAs.
