Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Technician to identify opportunities to replace or upgrade server components, validate cabling connectivity, and monitor work in a ticketing environment. The role includes mentoring technicians, implementing technical solutions, and training on fix/repair techniques in alignment with SOPs and MOPs for Change Control.

You will serve as a technical liaison across teams, applying expertise to improve resiliency, reliability, and availability.

Qualifications

Experience with server/storage/network hardware components.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a team and alone.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb a 9 ft ladder.
Shift rotates including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of IT hardware concepts (RAID, Linux/Unix, CLI).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to travel as required.
Experience with ticketing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Identifies opportunities for others to replace or upgrade server components and validates cabling and network connectivity.
Monitors, assigns, and tracks work in a ticketing environment; mentors less experienced technicians and implements technical solutions.
Trains advance fix and repair techniques aligned with SOPs/MOPs for Data Center Change Control; acts as a liaison for technical and non-technical teams.
Provides subject matter expertise to identify and resolve resiliency, reliability, and availability risks.
