Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Technician to identify opportunities to improve server and component performance and mentor technicians. You will validate cabling, monitor ticketing work, and ensure SOP/MOP compliance while collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.

The role requires excellent communication, the ability to work 10-12 hour shifts, and willingness to travel as needed. This on-site position includes a 24/7/365 schedule with day/night shifts.

Qualifications

• 5 years of client-facing, direct customer support and service, data center, or related field experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND 4 years of experience in client-facing support and data center or related field.
• Associate Degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Center Operations or related field AND 3 years of experience in client-facing support and data center operations.
• Technical leadership demonstrated on complex projects.
• Incident management and response to maintain business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities for others to work with servers and components to ensure lifecycle efficiency.
• Coaches less experienced technicians on power distribution units and replacement hardware.
• Validates cabling and network connectivity, ensuring devices are connected and error-free.
• Monitors and assigns work in ticketing environment; mentors staff and escalates trends.
• Adheres to SOPs/MOPs for safety and security during on-site tasks.
