Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, and equipment provisioning while following safety and Ericsson standards.

The role requires 1+ year in data center operations or related IT infrastructure, with a remote option within Texas and primary duties in Plano, TX.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in data center operations, structured cabling, field services or IT infrastructure support.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, installation docs and MOPs.
• Experience with rack-and-stack, cabling, testing and equipment installation under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect to power sources, verify power and management connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install hardware components and OOB management connections.
• Perform basic testing, continuity tests, fiber verification and standard turn-up procedures; execute MACD activities and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates and as-built docs.
• Identify design, operational or safety concerns and escalate to senior technicians.
