Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in Plano, TX, with a remote option within Texas. The role focuses on rack-and-stack tasks, cabling, equipment provisioning, and safe, standards-driven work.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infra, with a strong eye for detail and ability to work with minimal supervision while collaborating with project teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in data center operations, structured cabling, field services or IT infrastructure support.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation docs and MOPs.
• Experience with rack-and-stack, cabling, testing and equipment installation with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Route and terminate copper/fiber cabling with proper labeling and management.
• Install PDUs, connect to power sources, verify connectivity and power.
• Provision equipment, install hardware components, and configure OOB management.
• Perform testing, MACD activities, and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built docs.
• Identify design/operational/safety issues and escalate to seniors.
