Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in Plano, TX, with a remote option within Texas. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and documentation while adhering to safety and Ericsson standards.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in data center operations or related IT infrastructure, with knowledge of copper/fiber cabling, hardware, and OOB management.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, power systems and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling and basic optical networking concepts.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and installation documentation (MOPs).
• Experience performing rack-and-stack and field installations with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage per designs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify connectivity.
• Provision equipment and OOB management connections.
• Perform testing, MACD activities, and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built documents.
• Identify design concerns and safety risks for senior staff.
