Job summary

Ericsson Inc. in Columbus, OH seeks a Data Center Technician IV to lead operations in customer data centers, ensuring reliable installation, maintenance, and operation of optical transport infrastructure.

You will audit work, interact with customers, assist with fiber installation and migrations, and supervise testing using OTDRs, power meters, and VFLs. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–15 years of data center ops experience with direct customer interaction.
• Strong hands-on experience with single-mode and multi-mode fiber and structured cabling.
• Experience leading a team and communicating with customers.

Responsibilities

• Audit daily work in customer data centers and provide feedback.
• Interact with customers via ticketing tools and in person.
• Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, migrations.
• Perform optical testing and troubleshooting with specified tools.
• Interpret MoPs, engineering docs, vendor docs, and network diagrams.
• Read cut sheets and network designs for correct port connections.
