Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Optical Technician to lead onsite work at New Albany and customer data centers.

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot optical transport equipment, coordinating with vendors and ensuring high-quality service delivery while adhering to safety standards. The role requires 3–15 years in data center operations, hands-on fiber cabling, optical testing, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 3–15 years of experience in data center operations or similar technical environment with direct customer interaction.
• Strong hands-on experience with connectorized fiber optic cabling (single-mode and multi-mode, LC, fan-outs, structured cabling).
• Experience with optical testing and transport troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal English for customer-facing communications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits of work at customer data centers and provide feedback to technicians.
• Interact with customers via ticketing tools or in person, delivering clear reports and updates.
