Job summary

McKinstry in Seattle is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager - Data Center Construction to lead preconstruction for complex data center projects, develop strategies, and ensure delivery on time and on budget.

You will own conceptual estimates, manage budgets across multiple projects, collaborate with Project Managers, and support sales with scope letters and RFPs while mentoring the team and advancing department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–20+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction.
• Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or SureTrak.
• Completed OSHA 10 class is required.
• Experience on large data center projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction management for a portfolio of data center projects.
• Develop conceptual budgets and budgets for major mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with Project Managers for smooth transition to construction.
• Develop scope letters and RFPs; manage risk and margins.
• Mentor project team and drive department betterment.
