Job summary

McKinstry seeks a Senior Preconstruction Manager - Data Center Construction to lead preconstruction activities for critical data center projects in the United States. You will develop budgets, manage risks, and coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in project management or construction with preconstruction expertise, plus a degree in construction management or engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• 10–20+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction with a strong preconstruction background.
• Experience on large data center projects is required.
• Completed OSHA 10 class is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction management for data center projects.
• Develop conceptual budgets and estimates for mechanical systems.
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure smooth transition from preconstruction to construction.
• Protect gross margin and manage project risk throughout preconstruction.
