Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction projects for AWS data centers.

You will own project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, coordinating with general contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, timely delivery of complex electrical and mechanical systems. You will drive cost control, perform bid evaluations, and manage documentation from bidding to final hand-off, while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage construction documents including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis.
