Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead Data Center Controls Engineer – Power Systems to design, develop, test, and implement power system protection and control solutions for hyperscale data centers. You will lead teams using PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and protection relays, traveling up to 30%.

The role sits in Eaton's PSC group, a leader in power system automation and integration. You will drive design and execution standards while mentoring engineers and coordinating across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 7+ years of controls experience in power distribution or Master’s with 5+ years.
• Willing to travel 30% of time.
• Current, unrestricted driver’s license with clean MVR; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of data center power control projects from design to on-site support.
• Develop schedules, resource plans, FD/SEQ, I/O lists, and network architecture with PMs and engineers.
• Provide technical and organizational leadership; maintain project records on PSC SharePoint.
• Collaborate on proposals with Negotiation Application Engineers and with Operations to ensure readiness.
• Lead standardization efforts and mentor engineers.
