Job summary

Equinix, Inc. in Atlanta is seeking a Data Center Customer Operations Technician IV to deliver exceptional customer service and technical support in our data centers. You will own complex requests, drive timely resolutions, and ensure delivery of critical infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data center operations, telecommunications, networking, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Experience managing complex customer requests and balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of structured cabling, cross-connects, power infrastructure, and data center best practices
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to make sound decisions, take initiative, and drive issues to resolution with minimal supervision
• Experience leading projects, coordinating activities, or mentoring team members is highly valued

Responsibilities

• Manage complex, time-sensitive customer requests with a focus on quality and satisfaction.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues, incidents, and service requests.
• Coordinate installations, de-installations, and modifications of cabinets and cages, cross-connects, power services, cable containment systems, and custom solutions.
• Deliver Smart Hands support and assist customers with equipment, connectivity, and infrastructure needs.
• Prioritize multiple requests and projects while maintaining service level commitments.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve operational and technical challenges.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements to procedures.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced team members.
• Lead or facilitate operational activities and support initiatives to improve customer experience.
