Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Data Center Manager to lead end-to-end operations for large, multi-platform data centers. You will oversee security, DR, and batch scheduling across Windows, UNIX, and mainframe environments, managing thousands of servers and petabyte-scale storage.

The role requires US citizenship and is onsite in the Washington, DC area. You will translate business requirements into technical strategies, drive ITIL-aligned processes, and provide systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing server and support services.
• ITIL v4 or v5 Foundation certification required by the customer.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Data Center Operations across Windows, UNIX, and mainframe platforms.
• Oversee security, disaster recovery and batch scheduling for 2,000+ servers and 15,000+ instances.
• Lead server consolidation, virtualization, and storage migrations with ITIL-aligned processes.
• Provide systems engineering leadership across large, complex infrastructures.
