Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Data Center Manager for a federal client in our Infrastructure team. Lead large-scale data center operations, ensuring security, DR, and continuity while aligning ITIL with enterprise needs.

U.S. Citizenship and background investigation are required; role requires after-hours support. This onsite Arlington, VA position offers growth and competitive benefits in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience managing server and support services
• ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certified
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• U.S. Citizenship and background check required
• Onsite in Washington DC area with after-hours flexibility

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience managing Data Center Operations of similar size and scope
• Experience with mainframe/server security, DR failover, BCP, and batch scheduling
• Manage large server environments with 2,000+ physical servers and 15,000+ virtual servers
• Plan and execute server consolidation and virtualization on Windows, Solaris, and Red Hat Linux
• Manage enterprise storage across Windows, Solaris, Red Hat, VMware with best practices
• Implement ITIL processes in a large, highly available data center
• Operate a 7x24x365 data center monitoring national service and incident response
• Translate business requirements into technical implementations
• Provide systems engineering in a large, complex infrastructure
