At GDIT you'll be at the forefront of innovation and play a meaningful part in improving how agencies operate. The role requires leadership of large, complex server environments and a strong ITIL background, onsite in Washington DC with after-hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline.
• 10+ years of working experience managing server and support services.
• ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certified.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including executives and customers.
• U.S. Citizenship and background investigation required.
• Onsite in Washington DC with after-hours flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Transform technology into opportunity as a Data Center Manager with GDIT.
• Manage Data Center Operations similar in size and complexity to the contract.
• Oversee mainframe and server security, disaster recovery, and batch scheduling.
• Plan server consolidation and virtualization across Windows, Solaris, Red Hat Linux.
• Manage enterprise storage across server technologies and perform migrations.
• Implement ITIL standards in a large, highly available data center.
• Operate a 7x24x365 data center monitoring national service and incidents.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform systems engineering for a large, complex infrastructure.
