Job summary

The role requires a BS degree and 10+ years of related experience, TS/SCI eligibility or equivalent clearance, and strong skills in VMware, storage, backups, cloud platforms, and ITIL/DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required; substitution of years of experience may be permissible.
• 10+ years of related professional work experience.
• Extensive experience with VMware for virtualization, deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
• Strong IT security principles, compliance, and best practices.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks and DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manages systems professionals directly or through subordinates by providing leadership, coaching, and training
• Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
• Develop and administers schedule and performance requirements
• Has hiring responsibilities
• Enhance information systems by identifying information systems technology opportunities and developing application strategies
• Oversee the maintenance of accounts, security, workflows, and secure systems connectivity
