Job summary

Jacobs is seeking aSenior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering for hyperscale data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will guide design strategy, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients and management to ensure high performance and constructability.

The role requires demonstrated HSIA experience, leadership capability, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts at executive levels. Hybrid work and regional travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and PE licensure are required.
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience with 5+ years in mission-critical/data center design.
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor junior staff and communicate with executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts across data center projects, including new builds and retrofits.
• Oversee cooling design including airside/water-side economization and DLC/immersion cooling concepts.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, structural, and controls teams across project lifecycle.
