Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and oversee mechanical design across hyperscale data center projects from concept through turnover.

You will mentor senior engineers, guide cooling, HVAC and water-side systems, and coordinate with electrical, civil, and controls teams to ensure performance, energy efficiency, and constructability. The role involves client interactions, leadership, and growth within a fast‑growing portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 15+ years in mechanical engineering with 5+ years in mission-critical/data center facilities.
• PE license and ability to licensure in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts across data center projects from design to turnover.
• Mentor mechanical leads and coordinate with electrical, civil, structural and controls teams.
• Guide energy performance strategies including PUE optimization and thermal storage solutions.
