Job summary

ABB is seeking a highly seasoned Electrical Field Service professional for nationwide travel across the United States. The role focuses on start-up, commissioning, and post-start-up field services in data center electrification, delivering high-quality service with safety and compliance at the core.

You will travel extensively, engage with customers, lead site work, and mentor peers while ensuring project milestones and documentation are completed to ABB standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED + 10+ years hands-on experience; or associate/trade cert + 8+ years; or bachelor’s + 5+ years; or HS diploma + 5+ years military/experience servicing critical power equipment.
• Advanced theoretical knowledge across electrical design.
• Know NEC, safety codes, QA requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site customer engagement and professional representation.
• Plan and execute service tasks with quality and first-time-right execution.
• Identify system and operational improvements for performance gains.
• Communicate service opportunities to internal teams.
• Coordinate site preparation and subcontractor activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced field service issues.
• Ensure materials and equipment readiness for jobs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in processes and service delivery.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.
• Provide technical consulting and training to customers.
