Job summary

ABB in the US is seeking a field engineer to execute service work of medium to high complexity, in the Electrification Service Division. The role focuses on startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of Power Delivery equipment, with opportunities to lead outages and coordinate project activities. Remote; Denver, CO area.

Up to 75% domestic travel is required. Must have work authorization in the US.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in field engineering.
• Experience testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting MV equipment.
• Knowledge of LV/MV breakers, switchgear, relays, transformers.
• Willing to travel up to 75% within the US; work authorization in US.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on project execution including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of Power Delivery equipment.
• Lead outages with field engineers, technicians, and contractors, including project management and reporting.
• Plan, organize, and direct multifunctional field assignments in designated areas.
• Document technical work with reports, quotations, and cost control activities.
