Job summary

ABB is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead onsite startup, testing, and commissioning of medium to low voltage power delivery systems for data centers. You will coordinate with the Project Manager, ensure safety and quality, and act as the primary client contact on site across North America.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical field service, data center exposure, and travel up to 75%. A high school diploma is required, with advanced electrical/mechanical training preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical equipment field service, startup, testing, or commissioning.
• Experience supporting data center construction or mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, electrical protection systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Ability to travel 75% throughout North America, often for extended durations.
• High school diploma required; advanced electrical or mechanical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all onsite activities related to equipment startup, testing, installation, and commissioning in accordance with project scope, quality standards, schedule targets, and safety requirements.
• Ensure work is executed in compliance with ABB procedures, customer standards, and the project's commissioning strategy.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Project Manager to validate resource readiness, material availability, and milestone alignment.
• Serve as the primary onsite representative for the client and all site stakeholders.
• Maintain uptodate drawings and documentation; support quality audits and customer acceptance processes.
